H Valve ανακοίνωσε την πρόθεση της να βάλει στο επερχόμενο Counter Strike : Global Offensive την λειτουργία cross-platform play, δηλαδή να μπορούν οι χρήστες να παίζουν με αντιπάλους από άλλες κονσόλες. Κάτι παρόμοιο δηλαδή με το Portal 2 που έφερε παίκτες του PC και PS3 κοντά!
"That's certainly our goal. We never want to create these 'islands of players,'" Valve boss Gabe Newell told PCGames.de (via Blue's News). "You have to be sensitive to control differences, and make sure you're accommodating that, but, you know, our view is players should be able to play as part of a community on whatever device they can."
